re a lot of versions of critical reading, which are from many scholars’ elaboration of comprehension. Some of them will be shared on critical reading as follows. At present, a few of experts concentrate on active reading. According to Pirozzi (2003:325), critical reading can be defined as “very high-level comprehension of material requiring interpretation and evaluation skills that enable the reader to separate important from unimportant information, distinguish between facts and opinions, and determine a writer’s purpose and tone. It also entails using inference to go beyond what is stated explicitly, filing in informational gaps and coming to logical conclusions.” Critical reading is to raise some questions and then give all kinks of hypothesis based on the reading contents, but not only remember what the passage said.
