5.1 Multidimensional Projection of Semantic Frame of Source Lemma  

Definition  of  CEDs  induces  and  summarizes  target  language  from  language schema,  knowledge  schema  and  net  schema  by  semantic  generalizing  and  analyzing the  Chinese  words  and  phrases.  In  specific,  multidimensional  projection  of  semantic frame of CEDs includes language schema, knowledge schema in content structure. In MDM, language schema is in nature the entity treating lexeme as the core and in  content  it  contains  morphological  marking,  parts  of  speech  marking,  syntactic marking  and  example  illustration.  Schemas  of  each  representing  layer  in  grammatical form,  such  as  phonology,  morphology  and  syntax are all meaning representing means (Zhang  Yihua,  2006a).  MDM  of  CEDs  bases  on  next  parts  to  process  conversion  of language  schema.  After  each  case  study,  the  newly  optimized  one  is  proposed  with  a sample of “*”.

Conclusion

This thesis takes Chinese numeral idioms as research objects by comparison and analysis of the six CEDs. Then, on base of that, we construct MDM of CEDs and make empirical study on numeral idioms representation effects. This chapter consists of main findings, implications as well as limitations and suggestions.  6.2 Main Findings:
1. Through overall analysis on properties and definition structures of these CEDs, we find that it is complex of dictionary structure out of uniform and standard definition model.  For  the  majority  lexicographers  focus  on  entries  inclusion  and  precise definition  regardless  of  dictionary  productivity  and  practicality,  the  objectivity  and scientificity of dictionary definition fails to be guaranteed.  
2.  In  microstructure  comparison  of  Chinese  numeral  idioms  definitions,  it  shows similarities  and  differences  among  these  CEDs.  All  of  these  CEDs  are  not  involved syntactic and pragmatic label in micro definition. As to differences, the same numeral idioms  in  ACED,  ANCCED  and  NCED  (2007)  with  part  of  speech  labels  are  of different  labels  and  it  is  hard  to  distinguish.  So  it  is  obvious  that  there  is  no  standard for part of speech label in idioms.
