rved in different languages. Chinese isa kind of analytic language with unchangeable roots and word order expressinggrammatical relationship, while English belongs to the synthesis language expressingsyntactic relation mainly by number, tense and voice and so on. In English, articles “a,an” should be put in front of a noun if it is singular; plural suffixes like “-s, -es” shouldbe added to the end of a noun if it is plural. But in Chinese, apart from expressions suchas “……们” being added to nouns to convey plural, the concept of plural is alwaysimplicit in the context. So in Chinese-English translation, the context of the source textshould be analyzed carefully in order to find out the equivalent implicit category ofnumber. Translators should pay much more attention to this kind of grammatical lossesand then compensate it with the right grammatical forms of singular or plural.

Conclusion
Translation losses always exit from one language to another language, one cultureto anther culture, and it will be difficult for the target readers to deduce the impliedmeanings and contents of the writer. In this case, essential translation compensationstrategies and skills accompanied the whole process of translation are indispensable. Onthe basis of former studies this thesis analyzes more deeply and carefully on translationunder the guidance of compensation strategies from grammatical level and cultural level, which give much knowledge and guidance to help translators who are interested instudying texts of the same kind. The major findings of the study can be drawn as thefollowing three aspects:Firstly, from the perspective of grammar, we analyze translation compensation fromlosses in number, tense and passive voice; the difference of dynamic and static;difference of parataxis and hypotaxis. Chinese is a language featuring short sentences, parataxis and dynamic, while English featuring long sentences, hypotaxis and static, andall the characteristics call translator for more attention to grammar elements in thetranslating process. Examples from Oral Literature of Qiang People are given to showthe emphasis on translation compensation strategies, making contributions to thedevelopment of multiculturalism and protecting cultural diversity. Translators shouldalways take the target readers into consideration and pay more attention to enrich theirhorizons, making them fully enjoy the works. and the great influence on culturalcommunication can be made.
