Therefore, there might be several phrases and subordinate clauses combined in one main sentence. E.g. “Social science is that branch of intellectual enquiry which seeks to study humans and their end eavors in the same orderly, systematic and dispassionate manner that natural scientists use for the study of natural phenomena.” The main clause is “Social science is intellectual enquiry.” There are another two subordinate clauses led by “which” and “that” to add some complementary information of the main clause. However, these subordinate clauses are complete sentences themselves in the meantime. Besides, compared with Chinese people who avoid hurting others, British and American people have a considerably high possibility of pointing others’ mistake directly. And when it comes to ask for some help or requirement, they would raise their wishes straightly without listing any side information. In this way, it is said that western people will accomplish their goals efficiently.
 Accordingly, it can be found that Chinese people are more likely to think intuitively, perceptually and spirally while westerners tend to have a logical, demonstrative and vertical thinking.
 
 Ⅴ.Conclusion
 Thinking pattern is a fixed mode that developed gradually under the influence of its native language. Besides, it can also reflect cultural values of different nationalities. Therefore, understanding the differences of distinct languages and thinking patterns, people can recognize their respective cultural values and cross barriers in communication.
According to the main part of this thesis that contrast Chinese and English languages from morphological, syntactic and semantic aspects, it can be concluded that the diversity of thinking pattern between Chinese people and westerners is a relative question. Compared with Chinese people who have extremely strong imagery thinking, people in west have a comparatively poor one. Contrarily, they have an intensive abstract thinking which is opposite with Chinese people who lie in a weak situation. Therefore, the subjects of geometry, physics, chemistry and biology taught in school of China are all compiled in western thinking pattern to improve students’ logical and abstract thinking. Meanwhile, western scholars have also realized their insufficiency in comprehensive and imagery thinking and thus turn their attention to ancient China simultaneously.
 Due to the continuous cultural communication between West and China, the thinking patterns have been influencing and penetrating with each other. Besides, the expression of both Chinese and English languages has been interwoven. On the other hand, although the difference of cultural values between China and west caused by their own thinking patterns has been keeping lessening, it does exist, yet. Therefore, people should have the sensibility of cultural differences to confront the communicative barrier rationally. In this way, they can break out the limitation of native culture to understand alien culture deeply in cross-culture communication, and conduct association and communication of humans in a much profound and lasting cultural background.
