To provide business advisory services to micro, small and medium scale entrepreneurs through training and counseling.

It is the vision of GCSL to maintain a high public image as the leading savings and Loans Company in Ghana.
The mission of the company is to develop demand-driven financial products and services and make them easily accessible to its target market through Comprehensive understanding of the market;
Products and Services
The main thrust of the company’s business is the acceptance of micro deposits and provision of micro loans to economically active but poor individuals and groups in the society. As implied in its name, saving mobilisation has been a very important integral part of the company’s philosophy and strategy. Since most of the people tend to be savers rather than borrowers at any one time, the company has realized that providing better savings services is more effective in achieving an equitable distribution of financial services than providing cheap credit. GCSL has focused on the voluntary savings; however, it believes that compulsory savings and voluntary savings are incompatible. The deposit services which primarily differ in terms of liquidity and return include:

Time/ Fixed Deposits
Susu Savings Deposits and
Group Savings Deposit
3.4.2 First Allied Savings and Loans Limited
First Allied Savings and Loans Limited (FASL) was incorporated as a private limited liability company on 24th May, 1995 under the Ghana companies Code (Act 179) 1963 to operate as a non-bank financial institution (NBFI). The company was licensed by Bank of Ghana (under PNDCL 328) of 1993 in March 27, 1996. It is owned by four (4) shareholders. The institution was established to engage in mobilization of retail savings by acceptance of deposits from the public, mainly households, small and medium business enterprises and provide credit with target group orientation such as small, micro and medium business financing, but also extending personal and consumer credits and finance to mid market business. The target group oriented credits are usually linked to savings.

Its mission is to offer convenient access to efficient, innovative and responsive financial services to the micro/small scale entrepreneur on a sustainable basis for the mutual benefit of all stakeholders. Its vision is to create an excellent institution; a leader in the provision of quality financial services to the micro and small scale enterprise sector.
