1. Introduction
As the rapid development of information and communication technologies (ICTs), electronic business (e-business) has become a major way for enterprises engaged in business activities. On the one hand, e-business provides opportunities for enterprise development, affects the enterprise and its external relations, but also changes the internal https://www.51lunwen.org/InternationalBusinessManagement/ management activities, management processes and management systems. On the other hand, the growing network of business activities through various channels provides complex customer value, there has been a variety of e-business application models, and their value chains become increasingly complex and difficult to understand. How to conduct the in-depth analysis of e-business application model, and carry out effective design and evaluation are the keys to determine whether the e-business application is successful.
In this article, the author will critically appraise Timmers’ list of online business models and to discuss whether this framework is outdated in 2011. Then a new theoretical framework was proposed in this study, an example was used for explanation of this topic.

In this article, through the case study of the leading online retail enterprise Taobao, it identified the internal and external business factors that influence the online retail business model innovation, and further validated these factors impact on business model innovation. The study found the eight major factors that significantly affect the online retail business model innovation: corporate culture, corporate strategy, technical support, employee creativity, competitors, partners, customers and external environment, in which the first four are the enterprise internal factors, and the latter four are the enterprise external factors. The series of business model innovation conducted by the company has a positive role in promoting enterprise to improve their discourse power.
