摘要:本文作者对糖果包装设计进行了研究。作者对比了包装设计与被大众普遍认可的艺术形式之间的区别和共同点,希望证明包装设计也是一种艺术形式。

作为一个胖乎乎的孩子,我热爱糖果,当然其中有一些对我而言已经不仅仅是商品了。不管是意外,还是由于一些杰出的广告,有一些糖果已经成为了一整代人的象征符号。它们独具特色的包装、颜色、外形,都是经由专业美术设计人员的设计,符合特定年龄人群的哲学性选择。最流行也是最美味的糖果来自一家克罗地亚公司——Kras。它的品质,名誉都极好,包装外形体贴周到。然而,包装设计最终很少有能够到艺术博物馆去的,并且由于它们最初的商业性目标和普遍存在性,其艺术价值被削弱了。不管这个设计有多么优秀,都会被批评者认为没有灵魂,甚至直接被排斥到艺术形式之外。有些人甚至认为,设计和艺术是截然分开的。几个月前,Kras换了大部分优秀产品的包装。这些新包装颜色有趣,外表迷人。也从这里,我开始好奇这些是否是艺术呢?被广泛接受的艺术形式和这些包装之间的区别是什么?它们有何共同点吗?后来,写论文时间到了,我在选择写作主题上没有任何困难。我开始简化主题,决定来对比包装设计与大众艺术的外形、象征符号和特征。

 

As a chubby adolescent I loved candies and there are certainly few of them that became much more than just products. Whether by accident or some genius commercials, some of them were converted into symbols of whole generations. Their distinctive packagings, colors and shapes were created as a philosophy chosen to fit certain age by high profiled graphic designers. The most popular and delicious candies came from Kras, Croatian company with grateful history of quality, good reputation and thoughtfulness when it comes to products apparance. Yet, packaging designs rarely finish in the art museums and their artistic values diminish due to their primary aim and omnipresence. Their curse is that no matter how brilliant they are, they are abidingly declared soulless from critics, or even discharged as a form of art. Some have even dared to say that design and art are separate and ignorant of each other. Few months ago, Kras changed packagings of most of their finest products. These latest packagings had new playful colors to them and advanced, charming shapes. That's where my mind started wondering if these were really art, what is the difference between widely recognised and accepted forms of art and these packagings and do they have anything in common. Subsequently, the time for Extended Essay came and it wasn't that hard for me to decide what I'm going to write it on. I came around to simplifying my topic to comparing shapes, symbols and characters of packaging designs to those of recognised and acclaimed art.

 

One of the most interesting ambalage designs winner of 1. FESTO product design award is Kiki Candies packaging .
