摘要:本文主要是介绍员工的工作满意度对其工作动力的影响。对于一个组织来说,好的工作环境对员工来说极其重要,提供一个良好的工作环境才能激励员工从而提高生产力。

Data Collection: The research will be evolving around both types of data, primary and secondary. Review of the related literature will be mainly based upon the secondary data. However, individual and group attitude will be measured through primary research by serving questionnaire and conducting interviews. However, hygiene factors will be assessed by glancing over the organization practices and confirmed through individual responses from the sample.


Two different set of questionnaire will be served administer to the sampled faculty members in order to judge their state of mind/intentions. For this to realize research questionnaire will evolve around to investigate following variables:


Pay package vis a viz the biological needs, security need, and social needs.


Promotion opportunities


Policies: Leave, Promotion, Medical, Reward/ awards, Transfer, training etc


Performance-rewards relationship


Work place or reward Equity or the distributive justice


Leadership style and conflict handling etc


Health care, Family care etc


Research Analysis: Once the data is collected, edited, interpreted, calculated then it would be subjected to various statistical instruments/tests for the purpose of analysis. The analysis techniques that are likely to be employed are; Chai square, correlation, t-test and Z-test with the help of SPSS.

Job Satisfaction: Though job satisfaction has been differently defined by different scholars. However, one thing is common in all the definitions that Job satisfaction describes that how contend anindividual is with his or her job. Some of the definitions are:


Weiss (2002) argues that job satisfaction is an attitude but points out that researchers should clearly distinguish the objects of cognitive evaluation which are affect (emotion), beliefs and behaviours.


Locke (1976) defines Job satisfaction as a pleasurable emotional state resulting from the appraisal of one’s job.
An affective reaction to one’s job (Cranny, Smith and Stone (1992).


Motivation: It is a psychological process that energizes human behavior to put requisite effort towards achievement of goal in order to satisfy needs (Lussier, 2002). Glueck (1979) defines motivation as the set of attitudes which predisposes a person to act in a specific goal- oriented way. He calls motivation an inner state which energizes channels and sustains human behavior to achieve goal.


Performance: Decenzo & Robins (2009) define performance as: Effective and efficient work which also considers personnel data such as measures of accidents, job satisfaction, turn over, absence and tardiness.


Performance Appraisal: Process of appraising employees demonstrated performance towards achievement of related goal. The system of performance appraisal helps in managing employee’s performance to its desired level and addresses feed back, development and documentation of the concerned employee (Decenzo & Robins, 2009).
