With the years passing by, the ideas or concepts of families have changed to a great degree, which reflects the alteration of the social values as well. The development of the reproductive technology has deep relationship with these shifts in the society and the family notions.

The family is one of the most basic units in the society, so the forms and the concepts of family have been seen as one of the most important social issues in modern times. The forms or types of families are various and a bit complicated, which have been paid much attention to do research.
In addition, the children who have been given birth with the assistance of the reproductive technology have no big differences with the kids who have been born in a natural process. Therefore, the impacts of the reproductive technology on the physical and mental health are not obvious at all. It is not necessary to worry about this aspect.
Finally, the harmony and the conflict of the reproductive rights of a couple are important to the normal development of the whole society and the families (Fitzsimmons, 2014). The written agreements are useful in keeping the harmonious relationship between the husband and wife to a great degree. The law system has been improved to adapt to this kind of social phenomenon to realize the harmonious development of families and the society. In a word, the reproductive technology has profound and far-reaching influences on the ideas of families.
