摘要:This article starts from the relevant theories of learning strategies, readingstrategies, reading model and reading strategy training, investigates and analyzes theoverall state of English reading strategies of non-English majors in JilinCommunications Polytechnic, and reveals the general characteristics, individualdifferences and problems that exists.
Conclusion
Even though the present study has thrown some lights in the field of readingstrategy, it is no denying that there are still some limitations in this research.
Firstly, although the questionnaire used in this paper is based on theclassification of learning strategies by O’ Malley & Chamot and the classification ofreading strategies by Nuttal, and the author also makes some modification accordingto the particularity of the respondents, but because of the author’s little talent andlearning, the validity and reliability are still to be deliberate.
Secondly, the author always holds earnest and rigorous research attitudes, butonly 67 students in Jilin Communications Polytechnic are selected to be the testsubjescts due to limited conditions. At the beginning of the research the author tries tocarry out the test in two higher vocational college in Changchun, but it is suspended atthe fourth week of the training because it is difficult to find suitable trainers and thecourse can not be taught at the same place. Therefore, the conclusion from the dataanalysis on pre-test and post-test are not credible enough.
Thirdly, the author is not familiar with the operation of the data analysis softwareSPSS, so he uses Cochran-Cox inspection method to compare the pre-test andpost-test scores between the experimental class and control class. But when the authoranalyzes the data of pre-test and post-test of experimental class and control class, heuses the Excel and formula to get the relevant data. These statistical methods are dated,time-consuming, energy-consuming, and statistical data are not comprehensive, so itis easy to have bias on the statistic results.
