摘要:本文是一篇英语阅读论文,本研究将问题链教学模式和英语阅读教学相结合,通过教师引导,让学生独立地解决问题链中层层递进的问题,突出学生在课堂学习中的主体地位,让学生在积极主动的学习过程中提高英语阅读能力。

本文是一篇英语阅读论文,本研究对高中英语阅读的教学启示有:首先,在问题链教学中,问题的设计是最关键的,关乎着问题链教学的效果,在提高学生英语阅读成绩的同时对教师提出了更大的挑战和要求。

Chapter 1 Introduction

1.1 Background of the Research

The English Curriculum Standards for General High Schools(2020)clearly states that“High school English reading teaching should focus on cultivating students’reading ability.English reading always is the focus of high school English teachers’classroom teaching.It’sshould advocate the concept of English learning activities that point to the core literacy of thesubject,design English reading learning activities with comprehensive,relevant and practicalcharacteristics,so that students in the process of reading,through a series of activities thatintegrate language,culture and thinking,such as learn to understand,apply and practice,transfer and innovate,etc.Acquire,interpret and evaluate the meaning of the discourse,express their personal opinions,intentions and emotional attitudes,analyze the similaritiesand differences between Chinese and foreign cultures,develop pluralistic and critical thinking,and improve their English learning ability and application skills.”Looking at the current stateof English teaching throughout high school,reading is an important source of comprehensibleinput,and teaching reading is a key focus and difficulty.

The current high school English reading teaching still reflects many problems.After theimplementation of the new version of the high school English curriculum standards,eachsecondary school in China has been grasping to implement the requirements of the newstandards to enhance the core literacy of the English subject,including the four dimensions oflanguage ability,thinking quality,cultural character and learning ability.For example,in thetraditional English reading class,teachers often use the“fill-in”teaching method,that is,teachers translate the reading text on the podium,explain the key vocabulary,phrases andgrammar in the text,and require students to take a lot of notes on the corresponding keycontent,and mechanically recite the notes after class,which is obviously no longer in linewith the quality education advocated by the new curriculum.Reading is actually a thinkingprocess,and if students only read the text mechanically when they read,the reading will nothelp improve students’English literacy in any substantial way.Therefore,when Englishteachers carry out reading teaching work,they should focus on cultivating students’ability toactively think about problems and solve them.

1.2 Significance of the Research

1.2.1 Academic Significance

First,compared with previous studies,this study focuses on the effect of the problemchain teaching model on the English reading performance of grade one of high schoolstudents.The author summarize and analyze previous studies on the problem chain teachingmodel in English reading,and sort out the definition and teaching model of the problem chainteaching model,etc.

Second,this study provides a case reference for exploring the application of the problemchain teaching model to high school English reading,which helps to interpret the importantimplications of constructivist theory,zone of proximal development theory,and Bruner’stheory of discovery learning.
