5. Suggestions


5.1 Encouraging students to read widely to expand knowledge
Reading is the integration of new knowledge and old knowledge. Lack ofknowledge influences reading result directly. Teacher should encourage students to readwidely. From exams that vocational students have to take, the themes of English readingare cover culture, society, common sense and so on. Reduce the anxiety because ofunfamiliar topic. Teachers could assign the reading paper to students after class. Andteachers check reading information of reading before. At the same time, teacher couldmake students do some reading practice in class and analyze the knowledge point such asimportant new words, difficult grammar structure and difficult long sentences. In theinterview, student C said “I think teacher should make us to do more English reading.,’ Atthe same time, teacher could assign English reading task to students with appointedtheme, and in the next class, teachers appoint students arbitrarily to propose the difficultpoint, then teachers could explain the point follow the students' suggestions. In this way,students' English knowledge could make progress. In the other hand, wide Englishreading could expand the vocabulary which helps read. In one word,reading practicestudents who are good at English reading comprehension.

Conclusion


According to the results of research on English anxiety in this study, the authorconcludes the following major findings.First, the author found that the results of the research prove the existence of Englishanxiety for vocational college students according to the result of sheet 4-3.Levels ofreading anxiety were found higher for the participants by the responses of item 1, 2,3, 10,12,13. Some students are involved in high levels of reading anxiety because ofunfamiliar materials, culture and no interest.
