though today people often claim that they have “lost the true meaning of Christmas”. Actually, however, the modern world has its own traditions; some of these may be a bit different from those parents and grandparents enjoyed, but they are nevertheless still tied to customs and beliefs that stretch all the way back to that long-ago birth. Christmas is still them the most important and largest festival. It is well-known that China has a great diversity of culture among its fifty-six ethnic groups. Under the wind of globalization today, the dynamics of its culture, which have been intensively studied overseas, become more outstanding. Many people from other countries feel curious about it. They are earnest to know the culture of China.
 However, each festival has its special cultural meaning and colorful keynote. And language is a carrier of culture; it does not only transfer the information about the daily life, but also transfer the culture. Therefore, it is helpful for language learners to understand language well and use it properly. If they could be given full play to the cultural characteristics, Chinese festivals will represent the rich cultural traditions of Chinese nation to the world. And Chinese people must protect national culture and protect national festival.
