The students just depend on their teachers, follow the teachers, do what the teachers tell them to. They seldom have their own thoughts. The other facets is on the students themselves. Due to the students’ different personalities, their motivations of English learning are different. Some students like English, but others dislike it. Therefore, these causes many problems in English teaching.
But , it’s proved that teachers can settle these problems in many ways. The teachers should change teacher-centered into students-centered in classroom, intensify the basic knowledge teaching and students’ abilities training. At the same time, they should pay attention to promote students’ interest in English learning. They can use the IT to set up more meaningful classroom activities, strengthen students’ feeling of achievement and confidence in their learning. Last but not the least, the teachers should evaluate and treat their students fairly. This may be neglected by many teachers.
English learning is a very complicated and profound process. Having a good basic knowledge is very significant for students’ further Englsih learning. So, in the junior middle school , English teaching and learning are both important .
