1.2 Significance of This Study  
Aesthetic  education  is  the  important  component  of  quality-oriented  education,  for it  is  an  educational  activity  that  is  related  to  beauty,  or  more  specifically,  it  is  an education  that  brings  up  the  students’  correct  view  of  aesthetics  and  their  ability  to discover  beauty,  experience  beauty,  and  create  beauty.  To  bring  up  the  students’ aesthetic  consciousness  plays  a  very  important  role  in  enhancing  the  quality  of education.  In  fact,  if  the  students  could  have aesthetic consciousness  and  the  ability  of appreciating beauty, it will surely make the students easier to learn English well. On the basis of the analysis of “aesthetic education” in junior high school English teaching,  this  thesis  has  a  significant  status  in  both  theoretical  and  practical  areas  to improve  the  effectiveness  of  the  junior  high  school  English  teaching,  which  promotes the implementation of the new curriculum and the quality-oriented education.

2.1 Quality-Oriented Education in English Teaching 
In order to take a strategic initiative position in the fierce international competition in twenty-first century, we are carrying out a series of grand development strategies. In this  process,  we  are  facing  the  problems  in  short  of  funds,  technology  and  material resources,  among  them  the  biggest  problem  is  quality  and  talent.  The  15th  National Congress  of  the  Communist  Party  of  China  pointed  out  that  “the  process  of  our country’s construction of modernization, to a great extent, depends on the improvement of  citizens’  quality  and  the  development  of  human  resources.”  (1997:9)  The improvement of national quality must rely on education.
