摘要:竞争优势只能通过创新来实现,并通过同一个产品的改进或新的发展来实现。公司可以依靠他们的客户服务和忠诚客户来维持他们的业务。
National Competitiveness plays an important role in a nation economic framework. It depends on the nation's ability to innovate and invent. This leads to the industrial firms in global markets to achieve maximum output. This has resulted in cutthroat competition between rival companies and has forced them to rethink their strategies to maximize profits and damage their competitors financially. The
strategy used to obtain such a goal depends on the industry positioning approach, the commitment explanation and dynamic capability approach. Dynamic of competition innovation and Co operative strategy are also major factors in defining Competitive Advantage. Source: (Wilkenson, I. F.; Mattson, L.G.)
In today's climate where upgrades happen every second companies should be able innovate according to products they offer and must make investments in the innovation field. Serious investments should be made in the Research and Development departments to keep them up to date with the current business competitiveness.
It can be proposed that a crucial determinant of the company's competitiveness is dependent on the interaction technology, managerial, and recourse based capabilities. The innovative life cycle starts with the innovative process in which recourse based capabilities play an important role. In time this process gives the company an edge against its competitors. A more recent example could be of Japanese and South Korean, auto, steel, shipbuilding and semiconductor industries competitiveness has been affected by government policy. Every company's success has been achieved by a different set of strategies but the core strategy is the same. That is innovation. Companies have always been successful as long as they have evolved to maximize profits. The innovation approach can be approached in two ways first with new technologies and secondly finding new ways of doing things. Innovation can be used in coming up with a new invention, or a new training method or a new strategy. Most of the time innovation takes small steps it is once in decade or two a breakthrough technology will alter a company's portfolio. Sometimes innovative ideas used have been around for a long time but they haven't been used to achieve a certain goal. It involves changes in skills and knowledge, physical assets and brand reputations. ( Porter, M.E., 1990)
Conclusion: 结论
Some innovations create an advantage by introducing a new market which the competitors have ignored, and when competitors are slow to respond to the changes then that company achieves a competitive advantage against its competitor. For example Japanese always have an upper hand in the electronics, auto markets by making smaller more efficient and sleeker products which gives them an advantage over others. Competitive advantage can only achieved by innovation and maintained by improvement of the same product or coming up with a new one. Korean companies are turning out to be major competitors for Japanese companies with their ability to mass produce Televisions and Version leather footwear and products Brazilians are catching up with the Italians.
Competitors will lose out if they stop innovating and improving their products. There are very small instances where companies can rely on their customer service and loyalty from their customers to sustain their business for decades bu
