Conclusion


In this study, the author reviewed the current situation of the extra-curricualrEnglish activity in high school; introduced Charlotte s Web and its author, explainedthe reason why Charlotte s Web is suitable for the extra-curricular English activity inhigh school; introduced ralative theories; made an experiment through questionnaires;gave many feasible suggestions about how to use Charlotte s Web to improve students'English skills,such as vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing; designed a lesson planof Charlotte 's Web used in the extra-curricualr English activity; put forward somesuggestions and sulutions for the extra-curricular English activity in high school andthen came to the conclusion.
In this thesis, the author mainly analyzed the positive influence of Charlotte sWeb's on high school students' English learning, and provided many useful suggestionsabout how to make use of Charlotte s Web to improve students' English. By doing thedata collection and analyzing it, the author obtained her own conclusion and solution. Atthe end of this thesis, the author illustrated four principles of carrying out theextra-curricular English activity, material selection, activity management and somemodest suggestions to high school English teachers.
