摘要:本文是一篇英语教学法论文,本研究试图探索动态评估在高中英语写作教学中的有效性。分析数据后,得出了不同的结论。主要调查结果可总结如下。首先,动态评估对高中学生对英语写作的态度有积极影响。实验后,学生对英语写作的态度从三个维度发生了很大变化。
Lidz(1991)defined dynamic assessment as an approach that follows atest-intervene-retest format,and that focuses on learner modifiability and on producingsuggestions for interventions that appear successful in facilitating improved learnerperformance.This definition focused on the procedure of dynamic assessment.After that,Lidz had supplemented its definition.Dynamic assessment,also known as learningpotential assessment,was an assessment method to explore and discover learners’potentialability through the interaction between the evaluators and the learners in assessmentprocess,especially with the help of the experienced evaluators(Lidz,2003).
Lussier and Swanson(2005)defined dynamic assessment as a procedure that attemptsto modify performance,via examiners’assistance,in an effort to understand learningpotential.
2.2 Characteristics and Types of Dynamic Assessment
It is clear that Dynamic Assessment has certain definitive characteristics.Firstly,themost definitive feature of Dynamic Assessment is its interactive nature(Panahi,2013).Interaction is the main focus of dynamic assessment procedure,in which the instructor actsas an active part of the assessment and functions as an assessment tool,responding toobservations and inferences about the learner and functioning in a way to reveal learningprocesses and to facilitate change.Besides,interaction happens not only betweeninstructors and learners but also among students.The second definitive feature of DynamicAssessment is the focus on learning process(Panahi,2013).Process orientation ismanifested in observing and evaluating learners’progress and understanding the changesof learners’learning ability in multiple time points(He,2013).The evaluator alwaysresponds to student’s behavior,and he or she focuses on the transformation of student’scognitive structure,rather than the level of behavioral performance.The third characteristicof Dynamic Assessment is its emphasis on the integration of teaching and assessment(Panahi,2013).Inseparability of assessment and instruction refers to a lot of interactionand negotiation between instructors and learners through teaching mediation(He,2013).Dynamic assessment believes that the assessment of students’ability requires teachingintervention,which can stimulate students’ability development.In order to reveal the deepcapabilities of learners,teachers need to provide interventional support for learners tomake those emerging abilities manifest(Vygotsky,1978).Teachers should provide acatalyst for the further development of students,who achieve changes in cognitivestructure and ability development through the help of teachers.Thus,it is in the real senseof dynamic assessment that realizes the unity of teaching,learning and assessment.
