摘要:本文是一篇商务英语翻译论文,在翻译补偿策略的指导下,本研究选择《新冠肺炎与电子商务:全球评论》一文作为翻译的原文。在对原文进行分析后,作者采用了包括注释、放大、转述和添加连接词在内的补偿策略,以弥补词汇、句法和语篇层面的损失,总结了一些研究成果和局限性,并对今后的研究提出了一些建议。

the translationof advertising texts and slogans.As a skill of marketing,advertising has played animportant role in promoting business activities.In order to retain communicativefunctions of the source text,the paper holds that a strategy named“transcreation”canbe applied to translate business advertisements.Torresi(2010:80-86)thinks that thefunction of advertising texts lies in persuading readers to purchase something likeproducts or services,or to act in a special manner.It is appropriate to translate texts ofthis kind by means of cultural adaptation and rewriting to make business activitiessuccessful.

According to Ke Ping(1991:23-24),annotation has two forms:transliterationwith annotation and literal translation with annotation.As one of the forms of annotation,literal translation with annotation can be used in the translation ofculture-loaded expressions.There are some culture-loaded expressions includingoverseas companies,regional organizations,government policies,etc.in the sourcetext.Target readers may get puzzled due to the lack of cultural knowledge hidden inthese expressions.To solve this problem,in the following part,the strategy ofannotation will be utilized.

ST:The crisis triggered a substantial downturn in international trade and required awrite-down of over US$2 trillion from financial institutions alone.

TT:此次危机导致国际贸易大幅下滑,仅金融机构的“减记”就要求超过两万亿美元。

5.1 Major Findings

In this study,the application of compensation strategies in the translation ofCovid-19 and E-commerce:A Global Review is explored.The major findings are asfollows:
