摘要:研究的目的是找出听力焦虑听力策略和听力焦虑听力策略的效果和特性目前的情况。这将进一步探索哪些策略可以有效地减少了听力焦虑,使教师提供听力教学的有价值的信息,并提供学生提高他们的听力水平和听力策略的基础。
1.2 Purpose and Significance of the Study
The purpose of the study is to find out the present situation of listening anxiety andcharacteristics of listening strategies and the effect of listening strategies on listening anxiety.It will further explore which strategies could effectively reduce the listening anxiety so thatprovide teachers with valuable information about listening teaching and provide students abasis for improving their listening proficiency and listening strategy. It is hoped that findingsof this research will be of help for development of fields of listening anxiety and listeningstrategy in the future. The results of the study might have important theory and practicesignificances on individual difference and learning strategy in SLA.
Practically speaking: 1. the aim of the college English teaching is to foster student'sability of comprehensive language application, especially the listening and speaking ability.Thus listening plays a fundamental role in the whole teaching system. Students in theirlistening comprehension process will feel anxiety because of exam nervous or unfamiliar withthe listening materials. In turn, this anxiety will affect the future listening proficiency and itwill hinder their improvement. 2. In western agroforestry colleges, students mostly come fromthe rural areas, where has low professional level, poor English learning environment and lackof learning materials. These lead to the listening proficiency of students in westernagroforestry colleges is still some way to reach the students’ from the urban areas. 3. AfterCollege English Curriculum Requirements (for trial implementation) being issued, the aimhas changed into fostering student's ability of comprehensive language application, especiallythe listening and speaking ability, in order to make them could communicate in oral andwritten effectively. Meanwhile, it will enhance their ability of autonomous learning that meetthe needs of social development and international communication. Under such a circumstance,exploring the state and characteristics of listening anxiety and listening strategy became aurgent problem to be solved.
Chapter Two Literature Review
This chapter mainly presents the theoretical framework of this study, consisting of theresearch findings in the fields of listening anxiety and listening strategies respectively. Section2.1 introduces the definition, classification and the previous researches of listening anxiety;while the definition, classification and the previous studies of listening strategies areintroduced in section 2.2.
