the past five years, the price growing rate in 5-star hotel market of China is faster than in the four-star and three-star. During 2002 and 2006, the annual growth rate of five-star hotel average room price is 6 percent, with four-star and 3 star hotels 5% and 4%, 5 Star hotels and other stars of the have a widening gap in housing prices.
While the china hotels are also faced with the challenge. With the emplacement of the well-known international chain hotel group, their advanced management concepts and advanced business processes as well as perfect service bring our local hotel a great threat. People's living standards have markedly improved; the concept has changed and no longer chooses to price as the sole basis for the hotel. Tourism itself is in order to improve the quality of life, the domestic consumer tastes and grades in the years have advanced by leaps and bounds. Although some state-owned hotel owners are still proud of hardware facilities, but the backward management and business processes, has been unable to meet the requirements of the consumers. Fundamentally speaking, the hotel industry's competitiveness is the talent competition. How to develop that talent, how to manage staff performance, how to motivate staff, train employees are the core of the human resource management. As one of the three major enterprise resources (human, material, information), the human resources are the most active and can be developed unlimitedly resources. Efficiency generated by the human resources operating are reflected in the low staff turnover rate, the sense of belonging and sense of self-control, work actively and more efficient. Human resources are assurance to promote enterprise to achieve the development objectives and has increasingly become a profitable main source and the strategic resources.
