摘要:语言学习策略研究的应用语言学一直是一个热门话题,语言学习策略训练的研究,近年来,已经取得了一定的成果。然而,国内研究的学习策略的研究对象的许多关注英语专业和工程学生,学生的艺术发展的特殊群体,但缺乏关注。

综上结果表明,适当的学习策略训练能够提高大学生英语学习的艺术水平。正如中国人所说的:奖的鱼,不如授之以渔。英语教师也应该明白,教授学生不仅仅是语言本身,而是学生的语言学习的方法和途径。

 

Chapter 1 Introduction引言

 

1.1 Research Background研究背景
如今,随着全球经济的快速发展,政治和文化、交流发挥了重要作用的人的生活。英语,这被作为一种国际语言,被认为是大多数中国学生的高度评价Nowadays, as the rapid development of global economic, politics and   culture,communication has played an important role in people’ life. English, which isconsidered as an international language, is thought highly of by most Chinese students.Moreover, we all live in an age of science and technology, in which informationtechnology is developing at high speed and the position of knowledge acquisition isbecoming more and more important. Most of Chinese students have spent much timereciting vocabulary and grammar, which brought them high scores in various tests andexaminations. However, such “high scores” always come up with “low ability”. Such“Dumb English” makes communication not easy at all. So the urgent task for ourteachers is to teach student how to learn language instead of imparting knowledge, inother words, the teacher should become a “guide” but not a “master” as past.The traditional English education puts much emphasis on teachers-dominatedteaching methods, making students in a passive position and too dependent on theirteachers.https://www.51lunwen.org/languagethesis/ Students have difficulties in acclimatizing themselves to the society because theyare lacking of abilities such as autonomous learning. It is also for the reason that a newconcept of “life-long learning” appears in educational world.Until 1980s, students have eventually become the real center of attention inlanguage acquisition.For these years, academe’s attention has been devoted to studying individualdifferences of language learners. It becomes clear that much of responsibility forsuccess at language learning rests with individual learners and with ability to take fulladvantage of opportunities to learn (Oxford, 1990:54). One of the distinct individuallearning variables is language learning strategy. Many Second Language Acquisition(SLA) researchers as Oxford and Ellis have noted the important part that languagelearning strategies plays in SLA and even some learning strategy training has beenprovided to testify the validity.However, in the past two decades, our college English teaching and learning putmore emphasis on basic skills training, such as listening, speaking and reading, butignored some higher level skills, such as language learning strategy. Affected bytraditional concept, college English teaching mainly adopted teacher-dominatedmethods such as sentence pattern repeating and mechanical short conversations.Undoubtedly, such a condition made students develop a bad habit of over-dependenceand thus could not learn English effectively. Actually they are proved to be eager toparticipate in classroom and extra-curricular activities.According to the English Courses Requirement for Non-English Majors, languagelearning strategy training (LLS training) is an important goal in English learning andteaching. LLS training can help students learn English more effectively and developtheir ability of autonomous learning.Studies of learning strategy dated from 70s of 20thcentury and LLS training hasbecome a hot point only in these ten years. At the beginning, scholars dedicated inresearches on LLS of good learners only, but soon they found that was not enough.
