4.1 Diasporic Identity Labels 

The diasporic experience gives diasporic writers a double critical perspective, accompanied by the label of diasporic identity. The labels of double marginalization and sense of homelessness in the colonial diaspora also accompany his writing, which enables Coetzee to criticize and reflect on South African society more objectively.

It can be seen from the expatriation process --childhood, leaving home and returning home, we can see that the diaspora writers fell into a paradoxical dilemma. After drifting from the empire to returning home, the colonial intellectuals found that due to the different context, they also formed a binary opposition with the colonial intellectuals. The colonial diaspora was trapped and doubly marginalized. Both in the empire and in South Africa, they were strangers, doubly pushed to the margins. 

Conclusion
