4.1 The Features of Tianjin NMET
In this part, the author will discuss the research results from the form andcontent of Tianjin NMET papers over the years. In the content, the study will analyzein detail language knowledge, reading, and writing items.
4.1.1 The Features of Test Items of Tianjin NMET
According the analysis (table1-1), the research finds that the Tianjin NMET hasnot changed in test format since reform in 2017 except for provide two opportunitiesfor candidates. Now that the reform has been implemented under the requirements ofthe country, NMET should reflect the necessity to change the current status quo ofexam-oriented education. The smooth progress of the reform can be ensured by maintaining the stability of the test form. However, it did not reflect Tianjin’sbreakthrough in NMET reform. The reform did not happen overnight, but it isnecessary for the reform of Tianjin’s NMET reform can break through the existingcomfort zone.
The multiple-choice items mainly include three parts: grammar knowledge,vocabulary usage, and pragmatics. It not only examines students’ grammar andvocabulary ability but also examines students’ communicative language ability. Thetest language points are comprehensive. There are 15 multiple-choice questions everyyear, with a total of 15 points, and there is no change in the number of questions andthe score.

5.1 Major Findings of the Study
Through the answers to the first research question, the main research findingsare as follows:
Firstly, the reform of National Matriculation English Test in Tianjin over theyears has changed in the test form from a macro view, that is, “the biannual exam”.However, on the micro level, there is no substantial breakthrough in content and testitems.
