摘要:Scholar home and abroad have studied a lot on the usage on Task-BasedApproach so that related documents should be referred to achieve helpful reference.Therefore, literature method is also used in this dissertation.

The current situation is unsatisfying and the biggest problem of vocabularyteaching which higher vocational college students are faced with is finding aneffective method to remember and grasp new words in a long period. To get this done,the English teachers in higher vocational colleges shoud try their best to inspirestudents' interest and enthusiasm during the whole process of vocabulary teaching. Atthe same time, autonomous learning needs to be adopted by students in domestichigher vocational college students so that they will learn new English vocabularyfrom all kinds of aspects by themselves instead by forced to do so.The author wants to find a useful method for English vocabulary teachers. Afterseeking for it for a long time, Task-based language approach (also known as TBA)gets my attention. It focuses on the use of authentic language and on asking studentsto do all kinds of meaningful tasks using the target language. These tasks may be tovisit a relative,to develop a job interview, or to call policemen for help. Assessment ismainly based on task outcome rather than on accuracy of language forms. Chapter 2 literature review


In process of teaching English as a foreign language, learners are put in a realenvironment receptive vocabulary but having relatively few opportunities. So,vocabulary learning has become a widespread problem; consciously, mechanicalmemorization of vocabulary is the majority of learners are learning strategies.However, by the ” most words should be in the context of natural acquisition ” of thisone concept, people believed that the incidental vocabulary acquisition in a twolanguage or foreign language to environment. Studies on two language incidentalvocabulary acquisition by different levels of study,in which the task based teachingfor incidental vocabulary acquisition the role of attention.This literature review analyses and evaluates the available literature onTask-Based Approach and its theoretical and practical implications on variousinvestment strategies. It provides a sound theoretical foundation for the datacollection and analysis that is to follow as well as provide basic information withwhich to judge the accuracy and validity of the ultimate conclusions.
