摘要:As globalization prevails in the greater part of the world, the economic, political and social relationships among various nations and countries are becoming more involved and complex.

select the suitable aspects to promote, based on the cultural generalities of all human beings. In order for Huizhou Culture to be appreciated by outsiders, we need to segment the potential audience of our international promotion and to find appealing contents, images and values to display them in the appropriate ways. The most efficient way to achieve this goal is to analyze the target market and cooperate with local organizations, which in essence is Huizhou Culture's adaptation and localization discussed in Chapter Four. Located in a famous tourist area of China, any development of Huizhou Culture must be integrated with tourism and commerce. So rational integration of Huizhou Culture with the local economy is recommended in order to build a strong and influential cultural tourism that will benefit both tourism and Huizhou Culture. As the major means of promotion, the greatest investments are made in media,  especially digital media, which is necessary in this networked and digitalized world.

5.2 Implications of the study
    This paper studies the present strategies of the international promotion of Huizhou Culture and Chinese culture in general. Practical means to improve the intercultural competence are also discussed.
    Huizhou Culture is an essential component of Chinese culture, and in order to better consider the effects and strategies in the international promotion, Huizhou must be thought of in the context of a part of China. Although it is an important representative part of the nation, Huizhou Culture is still scarcely known by the outside world; and the research about its international promotion is even less. Moreover, the approaches to improving intercultural competence are quite useful for the international promotion strategies of Huizhou Culture, which proves that the analysis of these approaches will assist our international promotion work.
