Hayes (1981), these two scholars played an important role in giving an impetus to the process writing  approach.  They  adopted  cognitive  psychological  methods  to  study  students’  writing process  and  found  that  writing  process  was  not  linear,  but  recursive;  beginners  and experienced  writers  use  different  methods  in  planning  and  modifying  the  article.  They encouraged  the  teachers  to  use  the  process  writing  approach.  Later,  two  American scholars-Raimes and Zamel (1983) advocated the process writing approach after studying the English writing in the situation where English was considered as a non-native language. 2.2 Related studies on process writing approach abroad 

The  process  writing  approach  is  an  interactive  writing  method.  It  aims  at  training students  to  take  part  in  authentic  communicative  activities  and  express  their  minds  to  other people through writing. When students are writing, they need to design the content and take the writing purpose into consideration. Process  writing  approach  was  put  forward  firstly  by  Wallace  Douglas,  an  American professor in Northwestern University in 1970s aimed at the shortcomings of product writing approach.  He  pointed  out  that  writing  was  a  process  and  teachers  should  tell  them  the operational  method  step  by  step.  At  first,  the  approach  was  applied  to  mother  language teaching.
