The Culture of South Europe The southern European immigrants are the Albanians, the Greeks, the Italians, the Spanish people and the Portuguese etc. The biggest feature of them is﹕in Politics they take a firm stand. America cannot be so modernized without the blacks, we may say. Culture of the blacks is an important component of American culture. Their culture is one of the earliest cultures in human history. They took advantage of merits of Greek culture. They mixed their own culture with Greek culture. They developed their brilliant culture. Although the blacks were pressed and discriminated, they still tenaciously struggled against the pressure. They were brave, indomitable, wise, and diligent. Through unyielding struggle over one hundred yeas, they won their dignity and the status of American citizens. And then they won their civil right, the right to receive education, the right to vote and the right to have equal chance to work. Nowadays the black make great contribution to America in fields of science, religion, literature, art, sport and entertainment. 5. The Eastern Culture The number of immigrants from the east increases fastest. The easterners especially the Asians contribute greatly to America. They play an important part in American science and technology, economy, education and culture. In America, the Asians are famous for their industriousness, and thriftiness. In Americans' eyes, the Asians are thin and weak. They are conservative, modest and courteous, and cautious. They can bear hardships. They are shrewd and competent. They maintain their own culture and try their best to be outstanding. Through their constant effort, they win Americans’ respect. 6. The Jewish Culture The number of Americans of Jewish descent is very small, but they play a very important part in American society. They play a leading role in American economy, politics, education and media. 7. The Latinos’ Culture Hispanics are also called Latinos by Americans. They are from Mexico, Span, Portugal, Cuba, Puerto Rico and Middle America and South America etc. They are the strongest to keep their language, custom, tradition and culture.
