个人都可能使用一些女性语体或男性语体,只是男、女使用程度的比例不同而已。随着时代的发展,科学的进步,女性社会地位的提高,男、女在社会职业上的接近,男女家庭内部角色的变化,以及人们思想观念的进步(克服传统社会所遗留下的性别偏见与性别歧视) ,这一切必然会推进男女互化的趋势。无数女性在科技、艺术、商业等领域做得非常出色,男、女能力有别的意识正在减少,一种日益强烈的观念正在形成:女性不比男性好,也不比男性差。

The Relationship between Female Linguistic Style in Engl ish and Social Contexts

Abstract : Numerous scholars have described women’s speech as being different from that of men. Every linguistic phenomenon is
related to certain social context , so is female linguistic style in English. The analysis of the characteristics of female linguistic style can
reveal the relationship between the female linguistic style and the social contexts , and provide signs for the social position of women at
different times.
