China is one of the oldest civilizations on the planet. We can find 5,000 years old archeological evidences; due to this reason China has the richest traditional values. Chinese people love their tradition; they follow their traditional values even in this modern age. Chinese Martial Arts is one of those Chinese traditions. We found traces of martial arts in Xia dynasty which existed 4000 year ago. It is a blend of internal (harnessing of soul) and external (muscles and cardiovascular fitness) exercises. Chinese martial arts is inspired from Chinese philosophies, myths. It is linked with the beliefs of Buddhism. Generally, it comprises of styles and skills of fighting and self defense but more precisely it refers to any individual accomplishment or skill cultivated through long and hard work. Bruce Lee is a great example self deployment. He was a perfectionist. His hard work played an important role in his success. This report highlights the different aspects of Chinese Martial Arts and life of Bruce Lee

中国武术的历史——HISTORY OF CHINESE MARTIAL ARTS

Martial arts is the English translation of the chinses word Kung Fu, it is also called “Wu Shu”. The start of Chinese martial arts is not recorded in the history. However, it is evedent from the history that the martial arts techniques were discovered when man live with animals for their safety, they adopt different techniques to protect themselves in conflict with the animals and other hostile tribes. Thus these techniques were accumulated and passed down to their younger generations. As the time passes by they invented different weapons along with other household things for their survival. These weapons were of different shapes and types. Initially these weapons were made up of wood and with the discovery of metal; they start to fabricate more advance weapons. To use these weapons new techniques were created and special schools for different styles were established.

Human is a good observer. He imitated what he saw in his environment. So initially martial arts styles were created by keen observation of fighting techniques of animal, birds and insects keeping in mind the structure, skeletal and muscular anatomy.
