Conclusion  

This thesis is an attempt to study the definition of “da” verbs through the analysis of  the  definition  of  “da”  verbs  in  UDCW,  HSKCPTD  and  in  CPLDCC.  The  thesis constructs the new multi-dimensional definition model of the definition of “da” verbs in the LDCFL, by combining the Multi-dimensional Definition Theory (MDDT) with the Theory  of  Norms  and  Exploitations  (TNE).  The  major  findings  of  the  research,  the limitations  of  the  research  and  suggestions  for  further  research  will  be  provided  in  the following part. From  the  above  analysis  and  discussion,  we  can  present  the  major  findings  as follows: 
(1) Based on previous studies and literature, we find that many LDCFL imitate or copy  the  definition  of  The  Contemporary  Chinese  Dictionary  (CCD).  The lexicographical  definitions  in  many  LDCFL  are  almost  the  same  as  that  in  the  CCD. Meanwhile,  the  previous  scholars  study  the  verb  “da”  in  general  Chinese  dictionary, they  mainly  study  the  verb  “da”  from  the  perspective  of  pronunciation,  meaning, grammar, sense and sense categories, etc. 
(2) Based on the analysis of the definition of “da” verbs in UDCW, HSKCPTD and in  CPLDCC,  we  find  that  it  exists  a  lot  of  problems  on  the  definition  of  the  current LDCFL. For instance, the information items of definition in LDCFL are generally less than ten, the current LDCFL have not laid the corresponding emphasis on the semantic framework,  they  have  not  decomposed  and  described  semantic  properties  and applicative contexts, the definition methods of LDCFL are single, synonym definition is adopted in most cases, it exists a lot of problems in defining words of LDCFL, most of LDCFL  have  not  analyzed  the  error  of  using  words,  the  selected  LDCFL  have  not described the meaning of words meticulously and deeply.
