They for the first time introduce“gender” concept into translation study, admit the differences between male and femaletranslators, and explore the theories to translate other gender’s works in a much better way.Their translation strategies are: supplementing; prefacing and footnoting; and hijacking.“Supplementing” which calls for interventionist moves on the part of the translatorto compensate losses, and is sometimes referred to as textual exhibitionism;“Prefacing and footnoting” where the translator plays a didactic role, bothexplaining the intentions of the source text and outlining her own strategies;“hijacking” where the translator appropriates the original text, and uses it for herown purposes or intentions. There are many deputies in hotdiscussion and various problems to be answered. For example, some scholars concern thattheir political stand and radical translation strategies would have feminist translators’subjectivity exercised too much, and thus result in the translation version’s not being“translated”. These defects may lead feminist translation fall into another extreme and hinderthe development of translation study. Therefore, the feminist translation theories fall intodilemma.

　　Since the remarkable shift in philosophy, the translation inter-subjectivity study has madegreat advancement, especially in recent years, and a great volume of achievements have beenmade. Though there are still some controversial points in this field, the trend of this study isacknowledged and confirmed by many prominent figures, such as Xu Jun, Chen Daliang,Yuan Li, etc. But the research of inter-subjectivity in feminist translation is just at itsbeginning.
