Executive summary

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Wal-Mart) was founded by Sam Walton, a legend of American retailing at Arkansas in 1962. [1] After growing for more than 40 years, nowadays Wal-Mart is facing the problem about installing a Supply Chain management system. According to Cooper (1997), he insists that supply chain design is becoming a core competency. However, the project of Wal-Mart is expensive and risky. The research will discuss how to use Wal-Mart limited resources and invest in the right product.Our research is therefore focusing on the relationship between the problem by Wal-Mart in respect of cost saving and the management of its Logistics distribution system and supply chain.
