This violates the principle of 'accurately conveying the information content of the source text' in TTT. Therefore, in translation, the subject --'engine' is added to clarify the main body of the sentence for readers to understand.

5. Conclusion

5.1 Findings

Through this translation practice, the translator has a more profound and comprehensive understanding of this type of text as well as TTT. After the translation practice, the translator also realized the improvement in translation. 

Firstly, before starting translation, the translator should have a general understanding of the source text. It is important for the translation to understand the structure, content, style, and language characteristics through reading the whole text. The vocabulary, sentence pattern and article structure of scientific and technical texts are different from other types of text, so it is vital to be familiar with the source text before translating this type of text. It is also a premise to ensure the quality of translation. Before translation, the translator should be familiar with the relevant professional knowledge of the field involved in the source text. The translator should have a clear and definite grasp of the task of translation by searching materials and other ways. Understanding the framework of the article and searching for a large number of relevant materials and references, so as to understand and master certain professional background knowledge and make full preparations for the translation task.

Secondly, the rational use of translation strategies and methods plays an important role in translation. The translator should try to make the translation faithful and elegant without misinterpreting the meaning of the source text. The translation of scientific and technical texts should be accurate, reasonable and professional. Short and concise expressions should be used to make the target language readers understand. Because sci-tech text requires high professionalism and accuracy, more attention should be paid to the translation of terms to ensure the consistency. The sentence structure of the scientific and technical text is complicated, so it is necessary to analyze the sentence from the aspects of grammatical structure and then select the appropriate expression based on the logical relationship of the source text.
