Is monopolistic competition more or less efficient than perfect competition？

Perfectly-competitive markets are not productively efficient, monopolistic competition is not allocatively efficient, the respective advantages as well as disadvantages, and after which a rational comparison between the two, and conclusion is is reached that perfect competition is better in efficiency than monopolistic competition.

After the analysis of both sides of monopolistic and perfect competition, it has been reached that perfect competition is better in efficiency than monopolistic competition. Monopolistic competition does not allocate resources efficiently, and price charged is greater than marginal revenue in the long run. This kind of inequality causes inefficient competition. Monopolistic competition charges a higher price than perfect competition.  Monopolistic competition produces less output than perfect competition. the price for a monopolistically competitive firm is higher than the marginal cost of production. the price for a monopolistically competitive firm is higher than the marginal cost of production. And as a result, the efficiency condition that price equals marginal cost is violated. A monopolistically competitive firm is less efficient because it has market control and has a demand curve which is negatively sloped.
