Due to the proposalthat if a concept can trigger another similar concept, then the time of cognitiveprocessing will be shorten and the cognitive effects will be maximized to be the mosteconomized.

Great changes have taken place in the studies of both Cognitive Grammar andThere-be construction. In the previous presentations and discussions, we havestudied the iconic forming principles and grammatical structural generation ofThere-be construction in the framework of cognitive grammatical linguistics in orderto understand the nature of There-be construction and to find out the underlyingcognitive motivation and mechanism behind the generation and understanding ofstructural categorization in English existential sentences. Major findings are mainlyconcluded as the followings:First of all, Iconic principles and grammaticalization are of mental process ofgrammatical constructions both of natural languages and of There-be constructionitself. They produce the fully understanding of the forming, generation anddevelopment of There-be construction. According to the cognitive-grammaticaltheories, There-be construction is not feature-based grammatical structures butcognitive grammar-oriented structures.
