摘要:本文是一篇英语语法论文,笔者通过对课堂观察、访谈和问卷调查结果的分析,得出以下结论。显性教学和隐性教学在初中英语语法教学中都有广泛的应用,但不同的教师有不同的教学实践。
Explicit knowledge is the knowledge that can be described by language (Suzuki, 2017). Implicit knowledge is completely tacit knowledge. When children acquire their mother tongue, they master the rules of the mother tongue unconsciously. Their knowledge about mother tongue is implicit knowledge. Children have no idea of knowledge about their mother tongue when they can use their mother tongue, so implicit knowledge can be described as the situation where speakers do not know what they know. Therefore, implicit knowledge is unlikely to be the object of research and analysis as explicit knowledge. Suzuki and Dekeyser (2017) define implicit knowledge as knowledge acquired occasionally, stored implicitly, and used automatically. The key difference between two kinds of knowledge lies in speakers’ consciousness. Second language learners with explicit knowledge are not necessarily able to receive or express information accurately and fluently in real language communication tasks, while native speakers do not need conscious efforts and rely on implicit language knowledge to understand or create accurate expressions fluently. In classroom teaching environment, the first step of language learning is the learning and acquisition of explicit knowledge, but the ultimate goal of language learning is to develop implicit knowledge. Therefore, researchers are concerned about whether second language learners can eventually develop the implicit knowledge like native speakers.
