1. Assignment can be completed in groups of no more than THREE students.
Students CAN NOT complete assignment with students from other lecturers classes. Only ONE hardcopy of assignment per group is to be submitted. However, each student must submit a separate Assignment Attachment Form with their assignment. If a cover sheet is not attached NO MARKS will be given. 2. This assignment consists of TWO sections - ALL must be completed.

3. Section B of the assignment MUST be typed - single sided, using no smaller than 12 font size, properly referenced and ideally 1.5 line spacing (refer to ‘Guide to assignment writing and referencing booklet) and include a REFERENCE LIST (in alphabetical order) outlining the textbook(s) and any articles, electronic sources etc. used. Marks will be deducted if your work is not properly referenced or a reference list not attached. Read and adhere to the Assignment Submission and Plagiarism Notice on page 6 of your unit outline carefully.
4. All assignments should be placed in your lecturer’s pigeon hole located in building la on level 4 MIBT (next to room la4.111) by the due date.
5. Maximum word limit SECTION B - 2000 words (word limit excludes Section A and reference list). If the word limit is exceeded by more than 10% then marks will be deducted.

SECTION A 4 Marks
This Section is NOT included in the word limit for the assignment. The aim of this part of the assignment is to enable you to become familiar with the format and contents of a typical public company Annual Report. Complete the ‘Overview & Contents of the Annual Report’ table on the next page, by entering the requested information in the space provided and showing the page number where this information FIRST appeared in the Annual Report. When asked for financial information, use figures from the 2009 CONSOLIDATED column only. Using PEN write your answers neatly on the table provided and submit it with your assignment.

SECTION B (2 + 10 + 4) = 16 Marks
2000 words maximum (excluding appendices) for this section only. A deduction of 2 marks from marks allocated to this section will apply if the number of words is under or over by more than 10% of 2000 words.
