笔者查阅了近几年的高考英语写作范文，发现有几种高级结构在范文中出现的频率较高。如果考生对这几种高级结构熟练掌握, 并在“实战”中加以灵活运用的话，定能提高自己的写作得分档次，在高考中获胜。现对这几种高级结构介绍如下：
高级结构一：
“主句＋非限制性定语从句”。在这个结构中，关键是对“非限制性定语从句”的理解和运用。“非限制性定语从句”是对主句中的某一人或物进行解释说明，或者是对整个主句内容作出评判。实际上，“非限制性定语从句”在这个结构中起到一个“补述”的作用，它是写作中常用的一种手法。例如：
1. In his life time, he was always eager to know how things worked, which helped him to earn the nickname “the Wizard of Melo Park”.  (2008 湖南卷)
2. I’d like to wish her a happy birthday and to express my thanks to you for your hard work, because of which Su Lin and her parents are living a happy and healthy life in the U.S.  (2008 全国卷Ⅰ)
3. Every week, excellent compositions will be chosen, the author of which will be given prize.   ( 2008 重庆卷)
4. Dependence on parents can only lead one to a dependent life,  which makes one unable to handle everyday life.   (2008 广东卷)
5. People may choose to work in a team, where they can learn from each other and help each other.  (2008 浙江卷)
6. Personally, I prefer to work in a team, which offers me a chance to learn how to get along with others and to share my experiences with them.   (2008 浙江卷)
7. We also have a swimming pool, which is open all day and free of charge.   (2007 全国卷Ⅱ)
8. I think the mother bird must be very proud of her children, who are able to find their own food now.  (2007 北京卷)
9. In my opinion, excellent achievements of Entrance Examinations should be presented to my teachers, which is also the present that they like best.   (2007 上海卷)
10. In my opinion, if we stick to the above tips, I’m sure we can avoid short-sight, which makes our life more comfortable and healthier.   (2007 天津卷)

15. Chinese students celebrate their birthdays in different ways, but the most common way is to hold a birthyday party, at which friends get together to have fun drinking , singing and dancing.  (2005  浙江卷)

高级结构二：
“句子＋非谓语动词短语”或“非谓语动词短语＋句子”。这种结构之所以能列为 “高级”，就是因为其中含有 “非谓语动词短语”的缘故。“非谓语动词短语”在英语中是一种表现力非常丰富的表达法。它被用在语篇中时，能增强文章的感召力，使文章显得简洁，干练，层次分明，逻辑性强。在此结构中，“非谓语动词短语”相当于一个从句或一个并列句。所以，熟练使用这种结构的关键在于能否熟练进行从句或并列句与非谓语动词短语之间的转换。例如：
A. 相当于一个从句：
1. Compared with other columns, “ English Writing” has many advantages. ( = When “English Writing” is compared with other columns,…)  (2008 重庆卷)
