摘要:本文是一篇英语论文写作,本研究依据Facione对批判性思维倾向的定义与分类,对高中生的批判性思维倾向与其英语写作成绩的相关性进行了研究。

Bruner (1971) reminded that sufficient time was needed to build the new knowledge actively. In such a process, students reflected on their newly acquired experiences and considered the relationship between these experiences with the previous ones to develop an improved view of the world. During which, CT must take a position in order to make sense the past experiences. Additionally, he also argued that the performance of written texts made them good tools for interpretation and reflection. Therefore, writing was supposed to lead students to higher CT through thinking exercise such as “interpretation and reflection”.

4.1 Current Situation of Students’ CTD

One of the major aims of this research was to explore the students’ current level on overall CTD and the seven dimensions in senior high schools. To this end, questionnaire of CTDI-CV was used, with corresponding data shown below. 

4.1.1 The Current Situation of Overall CTD

The result on the current situation of CTD of the total 122 students is displayed in Table 4.1.

According to Peng (2004), the scores of the 70 items could be summed up to provide overall dispositional condition for an individual with the range of 70-420. Scores between 210 and 279 indicated low or moderate disposition; 280-349 positive disposition and 350-420 outstanding disposition. In the 122 valid samples, the average score was 290.12, and it was therefore concluded that students showed overall positive CTD. In order to get a more comprehensive picture about it, score distribution of students’ overall CTD is displayed in Table 4.2.

5.1 Major Findings

The primary aim of this research was to investigate the correlation between CTD and WA among high school students. To achieve this aim, three major research questions were to be explored: (1) the current situation of CTD among senior high students; (2) the students’ WA; (3) the correlation between CTD and WA.
