Design Style

 

Ron Arad design style is always curving, blending and look like waves. He is good in using a variety of novelty material with high technology. At the same time, he also consider the manufacturing processes of the product. He be fond of using bright colour or polished chrome steel to do design. But, his design work is always less functional. 9

 

Imitate Design

 

After I study Ron Arad’s work, I found that he has designed a chair with simple sheet which is ‘Papardelle Chair’. It is using woven stainless steel mesh and steel to made. The dimension of the chair is height 102cm, length 206.5cm, depth 23 60cm. He was designed in 1992. This is my most favour design of all Arad’s. I though this is quite cool and simple. So, I choose this product to imitate. I found that Papardelle blending like cloth. Then, I enlarge it on my redesign product.

Conclusion

 

After doing this report, I understand what is the designer need to do, how to evaluation and appreciation design works, and how difficult to design a good product. I improved my research skill again. Moreover, I learned a lot from Ron Arad. For example, he is a professionalism designer as he not picky any design work. He not only designed very small thing like bar equipment, but also designed very big thing like museum. The spirit of his be worth we to learn. I also agree his inspiration which is ‘Everything has be done before’. Furthermore, I also understand how important of design style for the designer. It is more easy to let people identify you product, if the style of the designer is clear. 10
