摘要:中国英语专业本科学习者在并列连词AND的使用上存在一些误用的原因主要有三个方面:母语的干扰,文化的不同,语法规则的不完全运用。事实上,这三个因素都归因于人们不同的思维方式。

并列连词研究论文,连词,作为篇章衔接和连贯的重要工具,是当今话语分析和语用学研究的一个热门话题。国内外的不少研究者对语言水平不同的学习者的连词运用情况有过大量研究,但对于中国英语专业本科学习者在并列连词的使用方面所做的研究不是很多。

1,1 Background of the study研究背景
写作是一个重要的通信手段。已经打率很大的作用,在传达人类的想法和感受。因此,它是非常重要的,在这个过程中的英语学习。然而,中国的大学生,甚至中国英语专业学生写作有很多问题 Writing is an important means of communication. It has been playing asignificant role in conveying ideas and feelings of mankind. Therefore, it is veryimportant in the process of English learning. However,Chinese college students',even Chinese English majors' wittings have many problems. They often have no clearlogic or are lack of cohesion. College students' scores of listening,reading,vocabulary and grammar are increased gradually, but writing scores are just 6-7. (HouChengyuan & Cheng Musheng, 1994, 1) This phenomenon shows that writing is aweakness in college English teaching (Zhang Zaixin,1995). In recent years, teacherswho check and mark various students' writing papers have found that there are manyproblems existing in it. A clear and coherent composition is hardly to be found.According to TEM Band 4/8 criterion, students should express ideas clearly andcoherently and avoid terrible grammar error.https://www.51lunwen.org/translation/  In fact,there are only a few clear andcoherent compositions in various examination writings. These phenomena arouseteachers' awareness of training students' writing abilities in coherent way. However,according to many studies language learners, especially foreign language learnershave the problem in using conjunctions (AJtenberg & Tapper, 1998; Intaraprawat &Steffensen, 1995).In order to solve the problem,improving the ability of learners' applyingconjunctions correctly is an effective way. A number of researches have showed thatthe clarity and comprehensibility of discourse can be contributed greatly by the use ofconjunctions (Mauranen, 1993; Flowerdew & 丁auroza,】995). Writers who fail tomake judicious use of conjunctions leave their readers guessing about the connectionsbetween the ideas they have presented. Therefore,we can say that conjunctions play avery vital role in constructing a text. They are very important to the degree ofcoherence of a text.Conjunctions consist of two Types; they are coordinate conjunctions andsubordinate conjunctions. Unlike subordinate conjunctions, researchers have not paidmuch attention to coordinate conjunctions in second language acquisition. Maybe it iseasy to acquire due to coordinate conjunctions' simplistic notions of parallelism.The conjunction AND is the coordinating conjunction which has the most generalmeaning and use. It will be appeared in most English language learners' minds. Aswas pointed out by Francis and Kucera in 1982,after the words OF BE and THE,occurring 28,872 times in 1,014,000 words, or 28.5 times per 1000 words,the wordAND is the 4th most frequent word in written English of the Brown Corpus ofWritten English, (cited in Lazaraton,1992). It is recognized that the word AND is notaware of its importance. Students are often found omitting or misuse of the wordAND in writing. Even more,when students are translating, they know little aboutwhat to coordinate by means of the conjunction AND.
