摘要:论文的第一章是一个简单的介绍,涉及到本文研究的目的和意义,同时本文的大体布局有所规划,根据介绍,读者对本文可能会产生一个基本的印象。变形一词本出自于希腊语,而形态学则是语言学的一个分支,尤其是形态学中的词汇学,它研究词的内部结构和规则,比如有一词多义,这也是属于形态学中语法的一个分支,它侧重于对结构和形式的研究,形态学的本质则是构词法。

Their meanings are different. Pre is quite flexible in that it can be attached to any base to express the meaning of 'pervious, in advance' of time or position without absolute limitation. Ante usually combines with nouns and adjectives to deliver the meaning of 'before' of time or order. There is also defined limitation to it. From a qualitative standpoint, these three prefixes are all confined by syntactic, semantic and morphological factors to a certain extent.


5.2 Implications of the study


This research paper deals with three models to learn productivity; however, I took Bayyen's probabilistic model to verify it. Morphological productivity is quite a complicated issue in English; therefore, other better theoretical models should be developed in the future in order to study morphological productivity systematically.


Besides syntactic, semantic and morphological constraints applied in this paper, there are also other linguistic factors that influence the productivity, such as, sociolinguistic, psycholinguistic, and other various factors. It is worth discovering and developing. There are still ambiguities about morphological productivity. A wider and deeper discussion is needed.


English learning is a long and complex task not only for Chinese students but also for teachers. Therefore, innovation is quite important. A 'duck-stuffing' method of teaching is not promoted any more. Activity and innovation are essential for students. From this research method, you can discover a new field with the help of data processing software and large corpus. Combining qualitative and quantitative analysis together, by using scientific software are all good ways for teachers to develop during their teaching process.


5.5 Suggestions of the study


There are some limitations of this paper just as in all research.


At the data collection stage, the writer manually weeded out some improper words which inevitably lead to mistakes, although they concentrated on them in the body of the paper. Deciding which kinds of word class should be cleaned away; it is subjective, which may also have a slightly non-scientific result. The qualitative analysis of the paper is not concerned with all the factors that may influence the result. It is not very comprehensive. The author clearly presents an elementary step in exploring this topic with the hope of achieving deeper and wider research in the future.


There are other topics concerned with productivity that can be explored. A larger corpus will be more convincing than a smaller one. Pragmatic, sociolinguistic and psycholinguistic constraints on productivity must be considered. This thesis adopted Bayyen's hapax-based model with the help of SPSS to test the productivity.
