With the development of the society in HK, the economy of HK has come into unprecedented prosperity. But there are some problems in the development, especially the pressure of air traffic. The exporters claim that if the government can not solve these problems, the leader status may be not hold on.
               
Research points out that the two airports of HK will be saturated in 2020. Hong Kong Airport Authority gave“the planning outline of Hong Kong International Airport ", providing two kinds of solutions to the consultation. Without a doubt, the airport capacity problem is solved urgently. Although the first scheme is low cost, and has not big effect on the environment, the solve effect is also very limited. According to plan to upgrade existing facilities, it can only meet the air traffic demand until the 2020 and can not solve the needs of long-term development needs. Therefore, the government will support the construction of third runway as soon as possible, in order to maintain the leading air capacity. Considering the long-term development of economy and society, I think it is necessary to build the third runway of HK.
