1. The case study should be conducted individually
2. Choose a Multinational Corporation (MNC) that is listed at least in 代写留学生作业one stock exchange. Do not choose a bank or financial institution. Unctad’s World Investment Report’s provide a list of top 100 MNCs in the world. You can refer to the following website for the reports.
3. Find the company’s annual reports with financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, stock price etc.) covering a period of at least 6 years (preferably between 6 to 10 years).----you can find annual reports by contacting the specific stock exchange, contacting the particular company, searching though the hard copies, downloading from the company’s website, from databases such as DataStream or using other electronic sources such as www.ftannualreports.com, www.annualreportsercice.com,       https://www.hemsott.com/resources/free_annual_reports.shtml,  https://www.prars.com.etc.
4. Incorporating the effects of the changes in the global/regional economic environment (i.e. financial crises, recessions, economic booms) during the period of study critically analyses;
a) MNC’s operations, management structure, industry, competitors, 留学生代写站business particulars and its motivation to operate as a MNC.
b) The exchange rate exposure of the MNC and the strategies (marketing, production and financial) used to manage the exchange rate risk.
c) MNC’s motives and methods to expand in new markets.
d) The capital structure of the MNC and how it finances (short and long term) its operations by using international capital markets.
e) How the market value of the MNC is possibly affected by the strategies used in exchange rate risk management, expansion to new markets and international financing of operations.
f) How the MNC changed its strategies over time in an attempt to respond to changes in its operating environment (i.e. global economic trends, change in major competitors strategies).
The extent to which you will answer these questions will be based on your ability to interpret the information contained in the financial statements and the qualitative information of the annual reports. These are mere guidelines and it is entirely up to you come with a framework of analysis based on what you have learned the lectures. You are advised to refer to other resources of information, such as the company’s website, various analyst websites, financial newspapers, research papers etc, to enrich your analysis and report.
