Furthermore, qualitative research and quantitative research have continuously proved themselves as two important methods in the methodological system and, meanwhile, have been widely applied in sociology and various humanities with their well-grounded research justifications, systemized research process as well as scientific analytic tools. But how is the status in translation studies? Whether the translation researchers are active in attracting the two sound systems to help carry out their own method of translation studies? And can they be conducive to reaching a deeper understanding towards translation? All above-mentioned questions are in urgent need of our further thoughts and exploration.
In this paper, the aim is to compare the research methods in these two articles with their parallel research topics, and then to evaluate the methods through analysing the results of each one in order to develop a critical awareness of various approaches to the studies of style in translation, and finally give suggestion of further research studies.
