1.0 Introduction

In English there are great literatures which are influenced by Joseph, Conrad’s Heart of Darkness and Toni, Morrison’s Beloved. (Xu Xiao Qing, 2010) They have been listed in must read literatures of universities in USA and UK.
The two books have many similarities in the context. They both describe things happened in Africa under the impacts of Europeans. What’s more, they both use metaphor writing skill in the contexts. For instance, Heart of darkness uses Marlowe captain’s https://www.51lunwen.org/yingyujiaoyubiye/2012/0221/1035466008.html seeking for the colonists’ experience of Kurtz, leading to a profound reflection to the Europe colonial activities in Africa. Conrad meant to make Kurtz the symbol of whole European civilization. And Sethe is the black African mother symbol. Even though, the two books both use metaphor writing skill, main roles represent different symbols. This paper will make a discussion about the differences of languages between heart of darkness and beloved, and the issues.
