If she is as you believe, innocent, rely on the justice of our judges, and the activity with which I shall prevent the slightest shadow of partiality" (Shelley 57). Frankenstein did not say who committed the crime because he did not want to look crazy when explaining how it happened and about the creature. Victor blames himself a great deal of the time for the murder of his brother, William. "At one time I considered whether I should not declare myself guilty, and suffer the penalty of the law, less innocent than poor Justine had been" (Shelley 140). In Frankenstein, there is more unrighteousness than righteousness. Victor is the cause of most of the unrighteousness.
