　　本文对小人物日记的翻译研究。研究和分析了太阳中旭和邱毅的版本在选择词语的翻译特点，话语和幽默翻译。翻译策略和思想这两个译者进行了讨论，他们的长处和弱点作了总结。This thesis focuses on the study of the translation of The Diary of A Nobody. Itstudies and analyzes the translation features of Sun Zhongxu and Qiu Yi’s versions onthe choice of words, discourse and humor translation. The translation strategies andideas that the two translators apply are discussed and their strengths and weaknessesare summarized too. The following conclusions can be drawn from the thesis.Sun Zhongxu’s translation has the following characteristics. On the choice ofwords, he (1) freely translats the idiolects to reproduce the effect in the sourcelanguage, making it easy for the readers to understand the details in the diary, (2)literally translated most of the culture-loaded words, keeping the exoticism of thesource language, though making the domestic readers at a loss as to what the contentis about. On the discourse level, he (1) keeps the original order of the sentences,making it read rigid and stringent; as for the reconstruction of the context, (2)successfully transfer the original flavor and reproduce the original scene to the targetreaders. On the humor translation, he (1) adopts the combination of literal translationand the homophones in the Chinese language to convey the humor in the sourcelanguage; when needed, he reproduces the humorous effect by means of notation, (2)mostly uses the literati on to deal with the homographs in the English language, whichseems most natural to handle humor translation, though lacking the charm of humor.On the contrary, Qiu’s translation carries the following distinctive features.
