Conclusion
From the previous statistics and analysis, I’d like to draw conclusions for thisresearch: Before Metacognitive Strategies training, many of non-English major studentsemployed this strategy to learn vocabulary, but may be not often. Students in the sameschool and same major almost have similar methods to learn. But for the non-Englishmajor students who are in different school, there are some differences in learningstrategies. After be trained on metacognitive strategies, students from EG 1or 2 can knowmore about learning strategies, and their awareness of using strategies to learn vocabularyis heightened. Compare the results of vocabulary tests between the students being trainedand not being trained, students from EG can make a better achievement in vocabularylearning than those from CG, so students’ score in vocabulary aptitude tests has somethingto do with metacognitive strategies.It is quite clear to find out that metacognitive strategies play a positive role in students’vocabulary learning, and they can make students learn vocabulary more effectively.
